Q

How are Master Caution System indications different for a single channel fault than a dual channel fault?

A

-Single/simple faults illuminate only on master caution recall by pushing either System Annunciator Panel. Examples:
—Speed trim system
—Mach trim
—Autoslat system

—GPS caution does not illuminate GPS caution if only one fails

-Dual channel faults illuminate automatically

Q

Are there any speed limitations on aircraft with retractable landing lights?

A

No

*maybe be retracted climbing/ descending through 10,000 ft to reduce vibration at high speeds, though no damage will occur at any speed

Q

Which systems can pressurize the Potable Water System and what conditions must be met for the system to operate?

A

-Pressurized by bleed air from engines or APU at 35 psi, or

-by an electric compressor (main bus 1) if pneumatic system insufficient if
—pressure in tank <30 psi
—water service panel closed
—CAB/UTIL switch ON
—pressure limit switch stops compressor at 40 psi. At 30 psi compressor starts again

*if water tank access panel open/removed electric compressor disabled, however can still be pressurized by APU/Engine bleed
