  6. “T.O. CONFIG” - carries out a test as though you’re just about to take off.

FAILURE LEVEL 1
A) loss of redundancy or system degradation.

C) Usually without procedure

FAILURE LEVEL 2
A) Serious failure but without any direct consequence to flight safety
B) single aural chime
C) master caution light
D) automatic call up of the relevant system page on the SD

FAILURE LEVEL 3
A) A failure that affects flight safety and requires immediate action
B) Red Caution
C) Continuous Repeititve Chime (could be words - e.g windshear, windshear, windshear
D) Automatic calls up relevant page of SD

Only effects an isolated system or item without degrading other system or items.

  1. PRIMARY FAILURE

A failure of system or items which affects the use of other systems or items. May or may not have associated action item

Theses are “boxed” to identify it as a primary failure

  1. SECONDARY FAILURE

Failure of a system or items which resulted from a primary failure

Displayed on lower right of E/WD
