Q

What would you do if the 27L glide path critical area is infringed with an inbound not yet established on the ILS?

A

Phone INT on PTY line, inform them & how long it’ll be infringed for.
Confirmation of the availability of the glide path ASAP

19
Q

What would you do if the 27L glide path critical area is infringed with an inbound established on the ILS?

A

Phone INT and agree a course of action.

20
Q

Before weather avoiding begins who do you need to co-ordinate with?

A

TC SVFR - to determine the presence of any conflicting low level traffic and the status of Northolt’s delegated airspace

21
Q

If WX avoiding begins and TC SVFR inform you that Northolt have their own airspace, what should you do?

A

Ensure EGWU line is selected on VCCS.
Place a Check North FDE into the runway bay.
Air departures will co-ordinate with Northolt if any northbound requires to go further north of their track

22
Q

What should you do when WX avoiding stops?

A

Inform TC SVFR, relevant outbound sectors and the VCR supervisor.

23
Q

What is the affect on Easterlies when EGLC have a calibration flight for Runway 09?

A

Free-Flow suspended for BPK, ULTIB or DET as appropriate.

24
Q

What is the affect on Westerlies when EGLC have a calibration flight for Runway 09?

A

A gap is needed on the approach or inbounds kept high on the approach

25
Q

What are the Westerly restrictions during the calibration of EGLF’s Runway 24?

A
All serials affect southbound departures.
27L must not be used for landing.
Farnborough Check FDE.
CPT, GOGSI, MID - RWY HD/6000ft
DET - RS TC SW, RWY HD/6000ft

Once approved Air Deps must inform TC SW that Southbounds will be departing in accordance to the above.

Once complete Air Deps will require a release for the first standard southbound departure with TC SW.

26
Q

What are the Easterly restrictions during the calibration of EGLF’s Runway 24?

A

Farnborough Check FDE.
MID/GASGU suspended.
DET - Freeflow, LON DME 2, Right heading 115/6000ft
CPT - RS INT S, LON DME 2, Right heading 115/6000ft

Once approved Air Deps must inform TC SE and INT S that Southbounds will be departing in accordance to the above.

Once complete Air Deps will require a release for the first standard southbound departure with TC SE/INT S

27
Q

What would you do as Air Deps if there is a sudden radar failure at TC?

A

TC may request a stop on departures. If one is already departing it can continue but inform TC of the type, destination and ATC clearance. The departures controller is to co-ordinate the departure track with TC SVFR
