Where are the air conditioning packs located?
The A320 is equipped with two air conditioning packs located in the wing root area forward of the landing gear bay. Two air conditioning packs located in the unpressurized section of the lower fuselage, which is in front of the main landing gear bay.
To where do the air conditioning pack supply air?
The packs provide the cockpit, cabin, avionics and cargo compartment with fresh air at a regulated temperature to ensure the comfort of the crew and passengers.
How is the pack flow control valve operated?
The pack flow control valve is a butterfly-type valve that is electro-pneumatically operated.
What does the PACK FLOW selector control?
Airflow downstream of the pack flow control valve can be selected by the PACK FLOW selector on the AIR COND overhead panel. There are three positions for the PACK FLOW selector: LO, NORM and HI. The LO position sets the pack flow control valve to 80% of the normal flow.
When is HI automatically selected on the PACK FLOW selector, regardless of switch position?
The HI position is selected automatically, regardless of the position of the PACK FLOW selector, when the APU bleed air is being used or during single-pack operation.
In the case of an ECAM

what would occur?
Pack anti ice valves control the pack to drive the temp to 15C constant with a failure of both the primary and secondary channels of the pack controller.
Pack controllers have system 1 and system 2 and 2 channels per each. A hard reset (ON GROUND ONLY) can be accomplished via the QRH procedure.
With failure of the primary channel, the secondary channel will act in backup mode and the hot air valve and trim air valves close automatically. Cabin temp will be held at 24C w/pack 1 supply cpt & pack 2 fwd and aft cabin
