A change to the scope of work that is detailed in writing to the owner and contractor for approval.
Construction Change Directive
A direction given to the contractor without need for owner approval.
What details are included in G701? (8)
- Description of change
- Original contract sum
- Net change of all previous change orders
- Current contract sum at the time of change order
- Change in contract sum proposed for the change order
- New contract sum after execution of change order
- Contract time adjustments per the change order
- New date of substantial completion
Who must sign the G701?
Architect, Owner, and Contractor
What does the subcontractor certify in the G702?
That the work noted within has been completed in accordance with contract docs AND that the contractor has paid them for all previous certificates of payment.
What constitutes a retainage on the G702?
5% of the completed work to-date and a set percentage of presently stored materials.

Subcontractor and Architect
