cultigens - domesticated plants that are selected

A

Maize (corn) , Squash & Beans
the maize provides a structure for the beans to climb up and the squash leaves provide shelter for the beans and squash, (from the weeds)

A

vikings were known for raiding the coastlines of European settlements
they were also proficient at their navigational and boat skills.
Erik the Red - saw land west of Iceland, established colonies on Greenland
his son Lief Erikson landed on north America.
they had to retreat to Europe because temperatures dropped, killing all their crops. journey back was dangerous
