A
intense anxiety of being in a public place in at least 2 situations for more than 6 months due to concerns of difficulty obtaining help or escaping when panic develops or other humiliating symptoms. this leads to significant occupational and social distress. not better explained by another medical condition

etiology? course and prognosis?
A
60% heritability (strong genetic link) and occurs following traumatic events.
chronic with rare full remission. onset before 35, more than 50% experience panic attack prior

CBT and SSRI
