Hazards: oral thrush( Inhaled), tachycardia, HA, tremors
Pt education. This med with prevent inflammation and will open up the airways
Levalbuterol - Aka xopenex ( lower risk of tachycardia)

Aka DUONEB
Synergistic drug of adrenergic bronchodilator with long acting b2 agonist that promotes bronchodilation and anticholinergic bronchodilator with muscarinic antagonist that prevents bronchoconstrictions
Hazards: tachycardia, HA, tremors, dry mouth and increased intraocular pressure
Pt education: med will open up airways and prevent smooth muscle cells in your airway from constricting
Tioteobium bromide aka SPIRIVA
Anticholinerigc bronchodilator with antagonist muscarinic receptors that prevents bronchoconstriction
Hazards: Dry mouth and increased intraocular pressure
Pt education: med will prevent the smooth muscle cells in airway from constricting
Beclamethasone aka QVAR
Corticosteroid that promotes anti inflammation
Hazards: oral thrush ( inhaled)
Pt education: prevents inflammation in upper airways
Racemic epinephrine
Ultra short acting beta agonist binding to alpha receptors which will promote vasoconstriction.
Hazards: Tachycardia
Pt education: med helps reduce upper airway inflammation by shrinking the blood vessels in the walls of airways
Ipratropium bromide -ATROVENT
Anticholinergic bronchodilator with antagonist muscarinic receptors which prevents bronchoconstriction
Hazards: dry mouth and increased intraocular pressure
Pt education: med will prevent smooth muscle cells in airways from constricting
Budesonide aka Pulmicort
Corticosteroid that promotes anti inflammation
Hazard: oral thrush
Pt education: med will prevent inflammation in upper airways
