From being on/attached to product/container:

  • Contain any statement that contradicts information required
  • Omit words relating to product name/description
  • Contain prohibited information

In advertisements:

  • Omit statements required to be in
  • Include prohibited statements
  • Contain false/misleading information
  • State/imply that products advertised cannot harm/are not habit-forming
  • State/imply that product/method of treatment will prevent/alleviate/reduce/cure any disease or physiological condition
  • State/imply that product/method of treatment is universal, has been recommended by a registered health professional, has had a beneficial effect in particular groups
  • Include testimonials
  • Invite people to send correspondence/photos/specimens for diagnosis/treatment
