What is ‘AIDA’?
Principles of Advertising
A-Grabs the consumer’s ATTENTION.
I- Hold the consumer’s INTEREST long enough to get the message across.
D-Make the consumer feel the DESIRE for the product by appealing to his needs, interests or ego.
A- Make the consumer take ACTION by going out to buy the product (this is obviously the most important principle for the company to make money!)

What is a product?
Something that is grown or made in a factory in large quantities, usually in order to be sold.
What is a visual and Image?
A picture used to illustrate or accompany something.
What is font and typography?
A set of printable or displayable text character’s in a specific size and style.
What is a logo?
A symbol or other design adopted by an organization to identify its products,uniform,vehicles etc.
What is a headline?
Writing that grabs a persons attention that’s big,bold and stands out.
What is a brand name?
A name give to a product or range of products, especially a trademark.
What is a slogan?
A short and striking or memorable phrase used in advertising.

What is tone?
“Tone” refers to the mood, or the ‘feel’ of an advertisement. Advertisers know how to play on your emotions.
What will a light-hearted or humorous toned advert do to you?
Put you in a good mood to go and buy the product.
What type of tone will an advert with an important message being advertised to the general public such as drinking and driving have?
A serious tone will be used.
What is effectiveness?
It refers to whether the advertiser has produced the desired effect on the consumer, or been successful in producing the intended result.
