A

- modify ADJ, ADV, V
- Answer the questions an ADV typically answers
- begin with an introductory word

What is an elliptical clause?
A
- most often a type of ADV Clause
- part of a clause may be left out when its meaning can be clearly understood by the context of the sentence.
- remember to provide necessary words to make it a clause (SUBJ + V)

- word/ word group that shows the relationship between the ADV clause and the word(s) that the clause modifies
