Advanced Tumor Suppressor Genetics Flashcards
1
Q
Senescence-associated secretory phenotype
A
The phenotype produced by the cellular regulators of senescence.
Involves the secretion of immunoactive cytokines, chemokines, matrix remodeling enzymes, and growth factors, inculding CXCL14, IL-7, and IL-34.
CXCL14 helps recruit macrophages while IL-7 and IL-34 induce MO to M1 polarization. Once macrophages are M1 polarized, they go on to recruit CD8 T cells.
2
Q
Cellular markers of senescence
A
SA-beta-galactosidase
p16
lack of Ki67
Remember, quiesence is maintained by the Cip/Kip family!
3
Q
CXCL14
A
Chemokine up-regulated in a p21-locked senescent state that recruits macrophages
4
Q
p21-mediated immunosurveillence
