  • Aged 16+
  • Unable to safeguard own well being, their property rights or other interests
  • are at risk of harm
  • because they are affected by disability, mental disorder, illness or physical or mental infirmity - are more vulnerable to being harmed than others who are not so affected

Where reasonable cause to suspect that the adult at risk is likely to be at risk of serious harm…

Council apply -

Assessment order - section 11
Removal orders - section 14
Banning orders - section 19 - bans subject

Banning orders with power of arrest - section 25 - arrest under section 28 - must be reasonable belief will breach order again
