what size are abnormal nodes
greater than 1cm
compare causes of hard nodes and firm, rubbery nodes
hard nodes: cancers that induce fibrosis and when previous inflammation has left fibrosis
firm, rubbery: lymphomas and chronic leukemia

- congestive
- inflammation
- infection
- infiltration
- hypersplenism
malignant causes of splenomegaly
- lymphoma
- acute and chronic leukemia
