How do you manage a Pneumothorax?

A
  • Monitor Closely for deterioration
  • Do not occlude open pneumothorax
  • Apply standard dressing if significant haemorrhage

A
  • Suspected Pneumothorax
  • Inadequate perfusion
  • Increasing respiratory distress
  • SpO2 <92% despite Oxygen
  • Increased peak inspiratory pressure/stiff bag
  • Decrease ETCO2
