Q

Beta-2 receptors

A

Cause relaxation of smooth muscle. Only epinephrine has activity at beta-2. It causes bronchodilation urinary storage and vasodilation

Q

Talk about beta-1 FX at SA, AV node and ventricular cells

A

SA increase heart rate. AV increase speed of conduction. Ventricular increase contractility

Q

Norepinephrine and epinephrine stimulation for alpha one, beta-1, beta-2

A

Epinephrine and norepinephrine stimulate alpha-1 and beta-1 about equally. Norepinephrine has little effect at beta-2. Epinephrine very powerfully stimulates beta-2!!!!
