Adrenaline Indications
A
- Cardiac arrest
- Anaphylaxis
- Severe asthma
- Respiratory arrest from COPD
- Brady cardia with moderate or severe cardiovascular compromise
- Blood pressure support if unresponsive to Metaraminol
- Septic Shock, Cardiogenic shock, and neurogenic shock, unresponsive to 0.9% NaCl IV and metaraminol IV
- Stridor
- IN for clinically significant epistaxis
- Topical for clinically significant bleeding

Adrenaline Cautions
A
- Myocardial Ischemia (Because it will increase myocardial oxygen consumption)
- Tachydysrhythmias (As adrenaline will make this worse)

Undiluted 1mg (1 ampoule)

Adrenaline Mechanism of Action
A
- By acting on alpha receptors, it constricts your blood vessels to help maintain your blood pressure and heart function.
- Through its action on beta receptors, it relaxes the smooth muscle in the airways of your lungs to help relieve shortness of breath and wheezing.

Adrenaline Common Adverse Effects
A
- Tachycardia
- Tachydysrhythmia
- Myocardia ischemia
- Ventricular ectopy
- Hypertension
- Nausea and vomiting
- Tremor, anxiety and sweating
- Hypoglycaemia
