Words that describes a noun or pronoun.
Adjective
Adjectives that directly modify a noun and are usually placed immediately before the noun they modify.
ATTRIBUTIVE
e.g.: The PRETTY boy.
simplified explanation: the adjective is BEFORE the noun.
in the example, the adjective “pretty” was mentioned before the noun “boy”.
These adjectives typically follow a verb rather than being placed directly before a noun. They are used to indicate the subject’s state, condition or characteristic rather than directly attributing a quality to a noun.
PREDICATIVE
e.g.: The boy is PRETTY.

DESCRIPTIVE ADJECTIVE
e.g.: fast, high, blue, loud
Kind of adjective where words describe the quantity or amount in a language.
QUANTITATIVE ADJECTIVE
e.g.: two, three, ten, big, small
Kind of adjectives that apply judgment to the subject matter rather than describing something that can be observed.
QUALITATIVE ADJECTIVE
e.g.: handsome, beautiful, smart
Kind of adjectives where words modify nouns and identify a specific noun or nouns.
DEMONSTRATIVE ADJECTIVE
e.g.: this, that, these, those
without demonstrative adjective: “The tree is tall.”
with demonstrative adjective: “THAT tree is tall.”
Adjective that modifies a noun by identifying who has ownership or possession of it.
POSSESSIVE ADJECTIVE
