A descriptive adjective is an adjective that describes a noun or pronoun and their job is to give characteristics to the thing being described. They are the main adjective type used.
e.g- lovely, happy, beautiful, ugly, naughty, blue

A quantitive adjective is an adjective that describes the quantity if an object. These adjectives are not only numbers they are also words that modify a noun or pronoun that indicate more or less of something.
e.g- a whole pie, more paint, six chocolates.
