Contraindications
A
- 2nd or 3rd degree block; 2. Sick Sinus Syndrome; 3. Hypersentivity; 4. A-Fib

Precautions
A
- When doses larger that 12 mg are given, may cause drop in BP; 2. Antagonized by methylxanthines such as Theophyline and caffeine, may need more doses of adenosine; 3. Potentiated by dipyridamole (Persantine) resulting in prolonged asystole; 4. In the presence of carbamazepine (Tegretol), high degree heart block may occuer; 5. Wont convert A-Fib, A-Flutter, or V-Tach

A
May cause facial flushing, chest pressure, N/V, headache, and lightheadedness
