Dynamic Spelling
Problem: I changed the default dictionary to English UK from English US for my document - but the spell check still highlighted words such as realise as being mis-spelled, why?
What do you have to do to change all the text to English UK?
Because setting the dictionary after having written the text in English US, means the text remains in English US.
Select the all text in a frame (or frames if threaded) and use the ‘Character’ panel to set the language to English UK for that frame and any threaded frames.
So you have to select text frame by frame, unless the frames are connected. There is no way of selecting all text in a document.
What does CTRL + A actually do?
It selects everything in your current frame or threaded frames.
So you have to place the cursor in a frame before you can select everything.
How do you de-select everything? (2 ways)
How can you check that everything is de-selected?
CTRL + SHIFT + A
I.e. a tweak on the keys for selecting all.
OR
just click on to the pasteboard.
If you look at the layers panel before and after selecting you can see the blue highlight when something on a layer is selected.
