Q

MHC I cross presentation is performed only by:

A

dendritic cells

17
Q

What is cross presentation?

A

dendritic cells phagocytose a cell infected with a pathogen that can’t infect the dendritic cell. The dendritic cell presents the viral antigen on MHC class I so that CD8 T cells can kill it. This is weird because usually phagocytosed molecules are presented on MHC class II.
