Clinical Priorities
A
- This patient is a falls risk as they will temporarily lose consciousness due to the heart skipping beats. Remember to expect fainting.
- Epinephrine is the medication used to treat the ventricular standstill.
- The cause of fainting is due to the lack of oxygen to the brain.
