Activating My Inner Visionary Flashcards
🎁
Good leaders have vision and inspire others to help them turn vision into reality. Great leaders create more leaders, not followers. Great leaders have vision, share vision, and inspire others to create their own.
What’s the big secret when it comes to envisioning?
The bigger the vision, the easier it gets.
When I live this way, I may find that the vision is not coming from me. Instead the Universe is choosing to go through me to realise what the world needs.
🎁
The question is not: Are you worthy enough to achieve your goals?
The question is: Are your goals worthy enough of you?
Through the flea-jumping-jar experiment, what can be perceived?
A person’s capacity to envision can also have a kid. It’s invisible too. It’s held in the place by their beliefs of what is and isn’t possible
Tac #1 - The bigger the vision, the easier it gets
When you do something audacious, it becomes easier.
Because you get the best people to join you.
The problem you’re solving is worth solving!
You have the magnets.
And you get the money.
Because the investors call.
And then you tell them, you don’t need their money.
Now like a bull they charge!
So, sell the benefit to humanity.
Cult leaders say loyalty lies with me,
But entrepreneurs say loyalty lies with the cause.
Tac #2 - Always speak of my project 10 yrs ahead
This allows me to be bold and push myself. To have ASPIRATIONAL objectives
Tac #3 - Give permission to fail
The best people want to work in the biggest challenges. The key is working on something uncomfortably exciting. To get uncomfortable, there must be permission to fail.
What is the 50-50 rule for goals? What is its meaning?
50% of goals should have a 50% failure rate.
A goal is not always meant to be reached, it often serves simply as something to aim at.
Tac #4 - Be audacious, but not fluffy
Indefinite Optimist = Hopes world gets better, not taking action to change it
Definite Optimist = Choosing to have a say in how to make their vision a reality. They have a plan to change the world (OKRs)
What is visionary leadership?
The greatest people are self managing. Once they know what to do, they’ll go figure out how to do it. What they need is a common vision. Leadership is having a vision, being able to articulate that so the people around you can understand it.
