What are some features of acne rosacea?
A
Typically affects nose, cheeks and forehead
Flushing is often the first symptom
Telangiectasia is common
Later develops persistent erythema with papules and pustules
Rhinophyma (large red bumpy bulbous nose)
Ocular involvement:blepharitis
Sunlight may exacerbate symptoms

How do you treat acne rosacea?
A
Mild symptoms: topical metronidazole
Severe symptoms: systemic abx E.g. oxytetracycline
Daily high factor suncream application
Laser therapy may be appropriate for patients with prominent telangiectasia
