A
Inhibits the enzyme cyclooxygenase which forms prostaglandins responsible for pain and inflammation. Has analgesic & antipyretic properties similar to NSAID’s but has minimal anti-inflammatory properties

Adult & PEDI Doses
A
325 to 650mg PO/IV 4 to 6 hours
10 to 15 mg/kg PO/IV or rectal 4 to 6 hours
