Q

How to stay accurate with pattern layouts?

A

• Seam and hem allowances need to be included before cutting out the fabric.
• Standard seam allowances are usually 1 to 1.5cm.
• Standard hem allowances are usually 3cm.
• The grain line must be placed parallel to the fabric selvedge.
Use correct measuring tools to ensure accuracy.
