What do accessory movements test?
A
Available range and quality of a movement.
Need to check for pain, resistance and spasm in early, mid and end range.

- P position
- Therapist action
A
- Supine lying, plinth fairly low
- Face P, grasp distal end of femur both hands.
- Oscillatory movement created by T leaning back gently and pulling on femur.
- Can also do in hip flexion, interlocking hands around anterior aspect of Ps upper thigh.
