what is crime control
crime control is the idea that a person is guilty until proven innocent. it should be a priority to catch people that commit crimes and prevent further crime that may occur
what is due process
due process is the idea that a person is innocent until proven guilty. due process believes that police should take their time when a crime is committed and make sure that they are committed to catching the right person
what is strength of crime control
a strength of the crime control model is that they maintain public protection as they are putting criminals in prison as quickly as they can. This model works like a conveyor belt
What is a weakness to the Crime control model
a weakness to this model is that people can be wrongly convicted due to the focus of catching the person who committed the crime as quickly as possible
What is a strength to due process
a strength to the due process model is that it focuses on ensuring that the right person is caught and haven’t put the wrong person in prison
What is a weakness to the due process model?
a weakness to the due process model is that it can put the publics safety at risk due to the model focusing on the idea that it is the right person that is caught and someone is not wrongly convicted
