an independent prosecution service for England and Wales. They advise the police in their investigations and assess the evidence sent by the police through the full code test.
what is the role of the HM Courts and Tribunals Service
responsible for the administration of the courts and tribunals in England and Wales
what is the role of the courts?
often brought before the magistrates. plea and bail is decided before the case is presented. Magistrates deal with less serious offences where as Crown court deal with serious offences.
What is the role of the HM prison service?
supervises offenders in custody
What is the role of the National Probation Service?
supervises offenders who are serving their sentences in the community, including prisoners who have been released on license to serve part of their sentence outside prison.

courts- give evidence as a witness, providing protection for vulnerable witnesses
cps- providing evidence for the case, charging offenders
HM Prison and probation services- police will arrest those who break terms of license/bail
