Role of the police and Relationships of the police alongside other organisations
Role- Is to enforce existing Laws created by parliament, the police have to and have the right to stop, search, arrest and detain powers Under The PACE Act
Relationships
- Work with the courts Providing the court with evidence/ giving statements that are all in relation to the case, They are responsible for the transportation and holding of defendants to and from court
- Work with CPS taking Advice from CPS on charging suspects , The police also provide CPS with all evidence that is required in relation to the case in order for the case to be built and taken to court
- Police work with Probation services/ Hm Prisons in order to manage sex offenders living in the area,
Role of sentencing council and relationships with other organisations
ROLE- Sentencing council are responsible for providing the courts with up-to-date guidelines on the sentence tariffs for every offence , they also try to help members of the public understand more about sentencing
Relationships
- They work with courts/ Judges the judges sit in the courts and are guided by the sentencing guidelines issues by the sentencing council. This is to ensure that there is fairness & consistency across all UK courts
HM courts and tribunal services relationship with other organisations
- Contributes, by the judiciary, to law creation through judicial precedent and statutory interpretation
- Liaison with the police/ independent security firms and prisons to ensure safe delivery of prisoners to court
- Prisoners are held in court cells pending their court hearing and return to prison
- Arrangements of video links if a prisoner is not to attend court for a hearing.
Prison services relationships with other organisations
- Prison services work with courts as prisoners must be brought to and from the courts when hearings are listed

- prison services work with the police as prisoners are held locally once arrested, and are transported to prisons
- Lawyers may seek visits to prisons for legal consultations

Parliament Role (Law creation) relationships with other organisations
The role of parliament is to create laws and make the bills an act of parliament
Relationships
- Work with police as police enforce the created law
- work with campaigns for change to create new laws and enable change
- Public as they should be the ones following the laws
