Reflex with sudden extension and abduction of upper extremities with hands open followed by flexion of upper extremities to midline (“startle reflex”)
Moro reflex
occurs spontaneous to loud noises or by holding supine infant’s hand and releasing hands suddenly

Asymmetric Tonic Neck Reflex (ATNR)
involves proprioceptors in cervical vertebrae
