A
  1. Greater percentage living off of reserve over time
  2. Population by age is bottom-heavy
  3. Lowered birth rates over time and tend to occur much younger (15-24)
  4. Greater amounts of diabetes with complications
  5. Children may be larger upon birth (diabetes)
  6. Greater number of emergency visits
  7. In terms of children, 10% of AB chidren are FN, but 67% of children in foster care are FN

First residential school was in 1831, but they became very prevelant in the 20th century. Did not close all of them until 1996.

Had a massive impact. Many died. Cultural genocide.

Loss of identity. Massive psychological stress.
