Ascites
A
An abnormal accumulation of fluid in the peritoneal cavity of the abdomen. It is usually caused by long-standing (chronic) conditions such as cirrhosis of the liver or by metastatic disease to the peritoneal cavity

A
Free air or gas in the peritoneal cavity (Left later decubitus)

A
The telescoping of a section of bowel into another loop, which creates an obstruction. Most common in the ileum. (Mushroom appearance)

A
The twisting of a loop of intestine, which creates an obstruction (Bird Beak appearance)

Caused by a lack of intestinal motility (Blockage) (Stair Step appearanc)
