Q

Phentolamine

A

MOA: non-selective α-antagonist (reversible competitive);
ROA: parentral;
Effect: vasodilation, ↓BP;
IND: Pheochromocytoma (diagnosis+treatment), antidote in case of acute HTN due to α-agonist overdose (e.g. cocaine, amphetamines);
SEs: Orthostatic hypotension w/reflex tachycardia, nasal congestion, headach
