What is an ecosystem?
An ecosystem is a community of living organisms in conjunction with their physical environment, interacting as a system.
What even is ecology?
Ecology is the scientific study of the interaction of living organisms with other organisms and their physical environment.
What is a biotic factor and an abiotic factor in an ecosystem?
Biotic - living, abiotic - non-living factors.
What are examples of abiotic factors?
Temperature, light, water, salinity, wind, humidity, slope of hill, air, current, weather etc.
What are examples of biotic factors?
Plants, animals, organic matter, grass, bacteria, moss etc.
Give me an example of an abiotic and biotic factor interacting!
Photosynthesis, salamander hiding from the heat under a rock, a person receiving vitamin D from the sun …
