What should be done having discovered a defective BA set?
A
Notify crew or watch manager.
Take it off the run.
Must be cleaned before returning to PEG.
Complete log book, including rear of log book.
Reverse the log book in its wallet to show the word ‘defective’, and attach this to the BA set.

What is the test frequency of an ‘A’ test?
A
When taking over a BA set at a station or an incident. Following a cylinder change.
When nominated to test a spare BA set.
Following respirator use only.
