A

General Adaptation Syndrome (GAS)

1 - Alarm Stage (fight or flight) - immediate reaction producing hormonal changes, increased HR, BP, and RR

2 - Resistance - Body tries to adapt by lowering HR, BP, and RR but state of readiness stays (incase additional response to stress is needed)

3 - Exhaustion - Body maintains height of readiness over extended periods of time but negatively impacts a persons physical/mental health with potential long term implications
