8.8 Oxygen Requirements

Flight Crew oxygen mask usage?

Answer 1

1. Used at all times when cabin altitude above 10000’
2. If cabin alt below 10000’, and
   a. Two pilots in the seats, mask not required.
   b. One pilot in the seat, at or above FL300, oxygen mask at immediate readiness, flight deck speaker ON and volume checked.

(Quick donning mask stowed is considered immediately ready)

Cabin crew and Pax oxygen usage?

Answer 2

Cabin Crew - At all times when cab alt exceeds 14000’

Pax - Oxygen SHALL be activated, SHOULD be used when cab alt exceeds 14000’

Question 3

Oxygen supply requirements?

Answer 3

For Planned FL,

1. At or below FL100, none required.
2. Above FL100 to FL250,
   a. Flight + Cabin Crew + 10% Pax minimum 30mins when cab alt >10000’
   b. Cabin Crew + All Pax minimum 10mins when cab alt >12000’
3. Above FL250,
   a. Flight Crew minimum 2hrs when cab alt >10000’
   b. Cabin Crew when cab alt >10000’ + 15mins portable
   c. Pax 10% when >10000’ but <12000’ /
   30% when >12000’ but <15000’ /
   ALL minimum 10mins when >15000’
