23.5 degrees (which allows us to experience seasons).

How long is a calendar year on earth?
365 days.
What about a leap year?
How long are leap years and what is the point of one?
366 days. Since it takes 365.25 days for the Earth to orbit around the Sun, every 4 years we have an extra day to make up for the missing day. This day is February 29th.
At what speed is the Earth rotating the sun?
108,000km/h.
Why are the countries around the equator so hot?
Direct and focused sun rays fall on the equator and the equator is closer to the Sun than any other place.
How are seasons created?
By the angles of the earth when it is rotating around the sun, and getting different amounts of sunlight that is shone on the Earth.
How does day change to night every day?
The Earth rotates around the Sun, when the Earth is facing the Sun, this is day, and when The Earth goes out of the Sun’s light, this is night.
In the summer, Earth’s tilt causes the Sun to be more vertical in the sky at noon than in winter. This causes:
- More hours in the Summer than in the Winter
- The position on the horizon where the Sun rises and sets to change slightly each day.
