ii. Indicate the requested runway in EXCDS and voice call the request to AV TWR, including the type of approach (contact or visual);
iii. Inform AV TWR of the approach sequence and approach indicator changes. (X)
iv. Ensure that the aircraft complies with any restrictions specified by AV TWR;
b. AV TWR shall verbally specify any restrictions that are required.

For unplanned IFR missed approaches, AV TWR shall: (6)

A

a. Voice call the missed approach to TCU, and provide airport control service if conditions permit and the pilot concurs; or
b. Unless otherwise coordinated, assign IFR missed approach instructions as follows, and transfer communications to TCU as soon as practical:

i. For RNAV approaches allow aircraft to fly the published missed approach procedure;

ii. For Contact or Visual approaches to runways 31 or 36, assign “FLY HEADING 360, CLIMB TO 3000’, EXPECT VECTORS”,
or, if the pilot requests, allow the aircraft to fly the published missed approach procedure for an RNAV approach associated with the same runway. (N)

iii. For Contact or Visual approaches to runway 04, assign “FLY HEADING 360, CLIMB TO 3000’, EXPECT VECTORS.” (N)

iv. For Contact or Visual approaches to runways 18 or 13, assign “FLY HEADING 130, CLIMB TO 3000’, EXPECT VECTORS”
or, if the pilot requests, allow the aircraft to fly the published missed approach procedure for the RNAV approach associated with the same runway

v. For Contact or Visual approaches to runway 22, assign “FLY HEADING 130, CLIMB TO 3000’, EXPECT VECTORS.”
