737 Navigation Flashcards
Align Light
Steady - IRU is operating normally
Flashing - Alignment cannot be completed
Extinguished - IRS not in the Align mode
Aft Overhead - IRS Mode Select Unit - GPS
If accompanied by MASTER CAUTION and IRS annunciator, it indicates dual GPS failure.
Center Panel - LE FLAPS TRANSIT
No Light - LE Flaps retracted
Green - Extended
Amber - If in transit, or if device is not in proper position
Aft Overhead - FAULT
Illuminated indicates a system fault which affects the respective IRS NAV or ATT modes
How are the IRS’s powered?
Left IRS: DC Stby bus
Right IRS: Transfer bus
Loss of power defaults to the Hot Bat Bus
What does the TOGA button do?
Engages A/T
Disengageds A/P
Accelerates to FMS Speed
What is the escape maneuver?
Max Thurst
A/T disengage
20 degreees nose up
