737 Flight Control Panel Flashcards
Overhead Flight Control Panel - FEEL DIFF PRESS
Illuminated indicates excessive differential pressure in the elevator feel computer.
Overhead Flight Control Panel - STBY HYD Low Press
Armed when standby pump is ON.
Indiates low output pressure of electric motor driven standby pump <1300 psi
Overhead Flight Control Panel - Low Press FLT Control
Indicates low hydraulic press (<1300psi).
Overhead Flight Control Panel - STBY HYD Low Quantity
Almost armed. illuminates ~ 50% empty.
Overhead - AUTO SLAT FAIL
Auto Slat Fail
Indicates a single SMYD failure if illuminates when recall is pressed
Indicates both SMYDs have failed if illuminated as CAP light
SMYD - Stall Management Yaw Damper
Overhead - Flight Control Panel - SPEED/MACH TRIM FAIL
Dual channel illumination indicates failure of both trim functions in FCC.
MASTER CAUTION and FLT CONTROL annunciator also illuminate.
Aft Overhead - LE Device
Indicates the position of LE devices.
Extinguished - Retracted
Amber - Transit
Green - Extended
Overhead - Flight control panel - STBY RUD
Illuminates when standby rudder system is activated
Aft Overhead - Eng Control
Engine Control System is not dispatchable.
DO NOT TAKEOFF
(Does not come on in flight)
Illuminates when:
Engine is N2 >50%
Airplane is on Ground
GS <80kts
30sec after touchdown.
Aft Overhead - EEC Reverser
Illuminates for 10sec. during normal stow operation.
Extinguishes if reversers are fully stowned and Iso valve is closed.
If illuminated any other time: malfunction has occured.
(will be accompanied by MASTER CAUTION)
Yaw Damper
Indicates Yaw damper is not engaged or inop
What does mach trim do?
Provides speed stability at higher mach numbers
Starts at .615 mach
What is the Elevator Feel Shift?
A computer that increases the required control forces on the elevator when a stall is imminent
What is the force fight monitor?
What does it do?
Detects opposing pressure between A and B hydraulic systems
Turns on standby hydraulic pump, STBY Rudder PCU.
Mast. Caution illuminates
What is the wheel to rudder interconnect system?
Under manual reversion, it will coodrinate your turns through the rudder.
