Engine start switches (both) - FLT
engine start levers (both) - cutoff
When EGT decreases:
Engine start levers (both) - IDLE detent
If EGT reaches a redline or there is no increase in EGT within 30 sec:
Engine start lever (affected side) - confirm - CUTOFF than IDLE
** repeat as needed

A

Autothrottle - disengage
Trust lever - affected engine: confirm - close
Engine start lever - affected engine: confirm - CUTOFF
Engine fire switch - affected engine: confirm - pull
If engine fire switch or ENG OVERHEAT light is illuminated: rotate to the stop and hold for 1 second. If after 30 sec light stays illuminated rotate to other stop and hold for 1 sec

Pressurization  mode selector - MAN
Outflow valve switch - hold in close until indicolite fully closed
If cabin altitude is uncontrollable:
Passengers sign - on
PASS OXYGEN switch - on
** go to emergency descent checklist

Announce the emergency descent
Passengers sign - on
Without delay descent to the highest of: lowest MEA or 10,000 ft
ENGINE START switches (both) - CONT
Thrust levers (both) - reduce to minimum or as required for anti-ice
Speedbrake - flight detent
Set target speed to - MMO/VMO ** if structural integrity not in doubt
Transponder 7700
autostow airspeed exceeds 320kn
800> 70T, 900> 77T

Runaway stabilizer

A

Control column - hold firmly
Autopilot - disengage
** do not re engage. Control pitch manually with control column or electric trim as needed**
Autothrottle - disengage ** do not re engage
If runaway stops after autopilot disengage - checklist complete.
If not:
STAB TRIM CUTOUT switches - cutout
If runaway continues:
Stabilizer trim wheel - grasp and hold
