Cystic Fibrosis
A Recessive human genetic disease
Why do people get Cystic Fibrosis?
They have a defect in chloride ion transport
What does Cystic Fibrosis cause?
Recurrent lung infections and a dramatically shortened lifespan
What type of carrier does not show symptoms of Cystic Fibrosis?

Huntington’s Disease
A dominant human genetic disease
When do the symptoms of Huntington’s Disease occur and what are the symptoms?
Middle age
The symptoms are restlessness, irritability, and difficulty walking, thinking, and remembering
Why do people get Huntington’s Disease?
A mutant protein forms and clumps inside the nerve cel nuclei killing the cells
Dihybrid Cross
A cross that involves two traits
Mono hybrid Cross
A cross that involves one trait
A 4x4 punned square result in
2 alleles for each different gene (use of independent assortment)
