What is a Tumor?
An unregulated cell division that forms a mass of cells with no function
What is a Benign Tumor?
A Tumor that doesn’t affect surround tissues in the body
What is a Malignant Tumor
A Tumor that invades surrounding tissues (Cancerous)
What happens when cells Metastasize?
When cells break away from a malignant Tumor and start a new cancer at another location
What is the lymphatic system?
Takes bodily liquids and puts them back into the blood
What is the primary function of the lymphatic system?
To transport lymph, a fluid containing infection-fighting white blood cells, throughout the body.
How do Metastatic Cells travel through the body?
They travel through the body via the circulatory system or lymphatic system
