The random increase and decrease in frequency of sequences

What is the founder effect?
A
When the alleles present in a population is dependant upon the alleles that were within the individuals that founded the population. If the founders are atypical of the species then the new population founded will have drifted genetically from the original

A
Mutations that do not affect the phenotype of the individual so are neither selected for or against
