- if have transplant + have liver dysfunction due to excessive alcohol consumption or viral hepatits, then can occur again even if liver transplanted
Other causes of liver disease

2. = genetic condition involved in the metabolism of iron hence cannot be excreted + tends to be exhibited around vital organs such as liver, pancreas, heart, lungs, brain
- condition is treated by regular blood letting
to help reduce Hb + keep it within normal range
- sometimes also treated with drug
- = similar to 2 BUT reduced copper metabolism
