Definition - Palliative care
Palliative care is the active, holistic care of patients with advanced, progressive illness.
What is the goal of palliative care?
The aim is to relieve the symtoms associated with advanced, progressive illness including malignant and non malignant condutions.

Palliative care is given in addition to the treatment for cancer and it netiher hastens or postpones death.
