Q

Explain how treatment with inactivated poliovirus cause the body to produce antibodies to survive

A
  • Inactive polio has antigens on surface which will bind to complimentary b cell receptor
  • Therefore, B cell will become the APC
  • Active T helper cell will bind to APCs and produce cytokines
  • Which causes the B cell to divide into plasma cells that secrete antibodies

Q

What are the cons of vaccination

A

  • Some children have extreme immune response to vaccination
  • May only provide benefit to society and individuals
